Nambawan Brewing Company ready to expand operations for export

Vanuatu’s only 100% local brewery is ready to expand its brewing operations with a focus on craft beer.

Stage 1 will increase brewing capacity followed by Stage 2 which will double total production and add a canning line to the operations.

Nambawan has budgeted over 45,000,000vt for this expansion plan.

Nambawan has being brewing in Vanuatu since 2011 and has a solid following with its Draught, Bitter and Gold beer.

According to the Vanuatu Department of Industry, this year Nambawan started to brew a number of craft beers. With the growth in both its core and craft beer range, it is necessary to expand the brewery to keep up with demand.

Matt Measey, Managing Director of Nambawan Brewing Company said “With this expansion we will be able to produce a larger volume of beers and improve quality. We always have requests for our beer in and outside Vanuatu, last week we had representatives attend the Commercial Drinks Show in Sydney. We have secured distribution in Western Australia, South Australia and Northern Territory and are currently in discussions with distributors in New South Wales and Queensland”

“Nambawan is the only 100% Vanuatu based brewer and make all our beer locally. We live in Vanuatu and are proud to make our beer here. We look forward to taking Nambawan and Vanuatu to the world. Export will start when the brewery expansion is complete,”Mr Measey said.

Through this expansion Nambawan will be employ local trades and add production staff, generating more income for the county.

Unlike its local competitors who are now brewing offshore, Nambawan is investing in the future of Vanuatu and aims to continue brewing beer all of Vanuatu can be proud of.

With the expansion, Nambawan will be the local Ni-Van beer of choice for both quality and value.
