Penni Worwor Naros:

“I am so fortunate to be part of the Van2017 Mini Games, especially assisting in coordinating within the Sports section. Our job is to make sure that we deliver the games to each athlete as expected,” said Penni Naros.

Naros has just joined Van2017 Team, after being appointed as the new Sports Logistics Coordinator.

“For me, one of the most important things about being a Sports Logistics Officer is to wear a sports minded hat and the passion to always improve.

“I decided to join Van2017 because I believe I have the passion and ideas to contribute and help make this event a successful and memorable one.”

Peni started in a Francophone school in Port Vila, going to Orap Lycee, then going on to Suva in Fiji to pursue his studies at Suva Adventist College, Suva Muslim College, Australia Pacific Tertiary Institution, and University of the South Pacific.

He was also given the opportunity to work at the Ministry of Justice in Fiji for 2 years, and 3 years in a local law firm.

Upon his return to the country, he worked in several organizations such as Youth Challenge Vanuatu, Tari George Solicitors and Barristers, and CHIKO Farm Products Ltd, where he left to joinVan2017 Team to be part of history.

“I think that Vanuatu can benefit from the Games, in a very  extensive way, such as; proper sports infrastructure and facilities, proper sports equipment, increased and specialised knowledge on rules of sports, there will be an increase in SSV due to TO’s workshops and training that will benefit Vanuatu. Not to mention the infrastructure in new roads and an increase in economic growth, socially, physically and most importantly SPIRITUALLY because our motto stands LONG GOD YUMI STANAP”.

“After the Games, with the knowledge I will gain as Sports Logistic Coordinator, I will use the best of my ability and knowledge to help our young nation to grow stronger in sports with a stronger mentality to its fullest potential,” said Peni confidently.
