Van2017 attracts interest at Career and Orientation Day in Port Vila

Taking part in the annual event of Career and Orientation Days in Vanuatu’s capital, Port Vila is vital for Van2017 to promote the upcoming sporting event to all attendees.

Van2017 took this opportunity to raise awareness about the Pacific Mini Games and all the services to be provided to Games Venues, and Games Villages.

“Volunteering” program attracted a number of students, youths and individuals who passed by and application forms were given out rapidly.

Van2017 wants to reach out to all groups of people, and share with them the excitement, the fun, the joy, and most importantly the pride that the Games will bring to the people as a Ni Vanuatu.

Frequently asked questions coming from visitors in the booth were about numbers of volunteers needed, what jobs Van2017 is looking at, and will there be any trainings provided?

About 20 students visited the Van2017 Booth in 2 hours, as they were searching for information about the Pacific Mini Games.

Van2017 is expecting to recruit about 2000 volunteers, aged from 18 years and above, who are willing to gain experiences, and to provide the required services with Pride, as Port Vila will  receive over 5 000 to 8000  local and international visitors who will be in Port Vila for 14 days and nights.
