Lady Gaga fans can finally hear Joanne for themselves

The long wait is over for Lady Gaga fans - her fifth studio album, Joanne, is out.

The 14 tracks are the star's first body of work in more than three years, so when Lady Gaga confirmed that she was back in the studio fans began speculating.

They wanted to hear those famous Gaga sounds and they were hoping for certain (Beyonce?) collaborations.

Now, it's out and fans can find out for themselves what it's really like.

Gaga appears to have gone for a different sound

When Gaga posted a photo with song writer and producer, RedOne, fans hoped that Joanne would bring more of Gaga's signature pop and EDM sounds.

Gaga and RedOne have worked together on many of her hits including her debut single, Just Dance.

But there seems to be a buzzword surrounding this album.

So, just how "different" is it?

Fans have noticed that Gaga has gone for a more country sound and some are even saying she's creating her own genre.

There is no trace of Beyonce or Adele

As much as fans hoped that Beyonce and Lady Gaga would reunite to make a track for this album, the Lemonade singer doesn't make a guest appearance.

Similarly, photos of Adele and Gaga hanging out were the glimmer of hope fans needed to suggest that the pair might be working together.

But the album's release officially confirms that Florence Welsh is the only featured artist on the album.

Mark Ronson is the main producer

For fans, it's been a long and rocky road to this album release.

But one constant has been that Mark Ronson and Lady Gaga have worked closely together.

Gaga says that she couldn't have done it without him: "He really lifted me high and showed me dignity."

Mark Ronson is now joining the 30-year-old singer on her American Dive Bar tour.

Different or not, her fans are loving it and Joanne is now number one on iTunes worldwide.
