Footage of Michael Jackson taking accuser jewellery shopping as a child resurfaces

CCTV footage showing Michael Jackson dressed in disguise and taking a young boy jewelry shopping in 1989 has resurfaced.

In the wake of the accusations of child molestation leveled at the King Of Pop in explosive documentary Leaving Neverland, video of Jackson's strange outing with the child has gone viral.

The archived news clip shows the 'Thriller' singer wearing a wig, cap and faux moustache while chaperoning the boy, reportedly alleged sexual abuse victim James Safechuck, around the store.

The report at the time suggested Jackson could have been shopping for an engagement ring to propose to Sheryl Crow, his backup singer.

In Leaving Neverland, Safechuck claims Jackson once bought him a wedding ring, one of many gifts he says were used to manipulate him as a child.

"So we were like this married couple," Safechuck said.

"I say married because we had this mock wedding ceremony. We did this in his bedroom and we filled out some vows like we would be bonded forever... It's hard to go back to that moment.

"You know, I like jewellery and I liked it as a kid so I think something that I liked was used against me. It causes discomfort," he added.

Safechuck, who alleges Jackson molested him between the ages of 10 and 14, explained that the music icon would often pretend he was buying jewellery for a girlfriend.

"It is still hard for me not to blame myself. We would go buy them at jewellery stores and we would pretend they were for someone else," he said.

"Like for a female, but he would pretend like my small hand would fit for whatever female we were buying it for."
