Katie Price warned against releasing new song, does it anyway

Model and TV presenter Katie Price has marked her return to music with a live performance of her new single on TV.

Katie sang her new track, I Got U, on Loose Women, where she is also a regular co-host.

She has previously admitted she is not the best singer, but says this single is different, as I Got U was "written for her voice".

The writer behind the song is Craig Colton, who was a contestant on The X Factor in 2011.

Katie also says that her manager urged her not to release music and believes she is wasting her time.

"It won't be a flop. I'm confident," she said before performing the song.

"I've always wanted to be a popstar or a model. I'm doing it because I can do it and I will do it, it's not about money."

Response online to Katie's performance wasn't overwhelmingly positive, but her vocal talents did impress some viewers.

But most people just said she sounded a bit rubbish.

Katie previously attempted a music career in 2005 when she was among the contenders to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest with her song, Not Just Anybody.

She released an album of cover versions in 2006 with her then-husband Peter Andre and in 2010 released solo single Free To Love Again.
