The Melanesians suffered a last minute 3-2 defeat against Mexico in their tournament opener before a 7-0 thrashing by Venezuela on Tuesday.
RNZI reports the Germans are also searching for their first win in Group B, following a loss and a draw.
The President of the Vanuatu Football Federation, Lambert Maltock, expected this would be their toughest match.
"The worst game we will try out best because Germany is professional with all the professional players," he said.
"And they know exactly what to execute so our coach is trying to design a plan to play against Germany and not to concede more goals like we had (against Venezuela)."
