OFC competitions schedule update for 2022

The changes, which were confirmed via an online meeting of the committee, come in response to the ongoing issues presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The revamped OFC Champions League 2022 will involve 18 teams through the qualifying stage, which will be made up of a qualifying tournament and separate national playoffs.  

Britain's Got Talent postponed until 2022 over Covid safety fears

Filming on the ITV show was originally due to start this month, but was pushed back three weeks ago due to the third English lockdown and rising cases.

However, on Friday, the talent show's producers said that "safety has to come first" and called it off until 2022.

They said performers like dance groups, choirs and orchestras wouldn't be able to rehearse and audition safely.

The ICC has been exploring contingency plans since hosts Cricket Australia acknowledged the logistical challenges involved in staging a 16-team tournament amid travel and other restrictions this year.

Consequently, there will be back-to-back men's T20 World Cups in 2021 and 2022 before the 50-overs World Cup in India in 2023.

Vanuatu looks forward to hosting 7th Melanesians Arts and Cultural Festival

The chairperson of the Vanuatu National Cultural Council, Vanuatu Jenny Ligo assured Melanesian countries her country looks forward to receiving them in 2022.

Ligo gave the assurance during the closing ceremony of the 6th Melanesians Arts and Cultural Festival in Honiara, Solomon Islands on Tuesday night.

Solomon Islands Deputy Prime Minister, Manasseh Sogavare thanked all participants saying the festival was a huge success.
