Will Harris signs extension with NSW Waratahs

Harris made his debut in 2020, making his name with the Australian U20’s World Cup Silver Medal-winning side in Argentina.

The 21-year-old has had a breakout 2022 campaign, playing in every single game in Super Rugby Pacific.

“It was a pretty easy decision for me in the end, as I really like where the direction of the club is going. I love all the people at the club, we're a tight-knit group and I’m really enjoying the style of footy we’re playing this year,” Harris said in a statement.

2023 RWC qualification process finalised

Twelve teams -- South Africa, England, New Zealand, Wales, Japan, France, Australia, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Argentina and Fiji -- have already qualified by virtue of their top three finishes in their respective pools at last year's World Cup.

Seven of the eight remaining spots will be finalised via regional and cross-regional qualifiers, while a four-team round-robin tournament will determine the final qualifier.

France to host 2023 Rugby World Cup

The Rugby World Cup Limited (RWCL) board last month unanimously recommended South Africa to host the tournament in six years' time.

Yet World Rugby Council members on Wednesday voted in favour of the France bid, despite South Africa being picked out as a "clear leader" a couple of weeks before decision day.

France presented the tournament solo for the first time in 2007, having played joint-host in 1991 with the UK and Ireland, and they will also stage the 10th edition of the tournament.
