Arnold Schwarzenegger involved in Los Angeles car crash

A woman was hurt in the four-vehicle crash, which occurred on Friday afternoon, Los Angeles Police said.

Photos from the scene show a large SUV on top of three other vehicles at an intersection near his home in the upscale neighbourhood of Brentwood.

Police said that no arrest has been made and ruled out the involvement of drugs and alcohol.

The former California governor's spokesman confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that he was driving the SUV when the incident occurred, but was not hurt.

Arnold Schwarzenegger 'stable' after heart surgery

The Austrian-American film star and former California governor, 70, had a scheduled procedure to replace a valve at Cedars-Sinai hospital on Thursday.

The device was installed to repair a defective aortic valve in 1997. Thursday's operation lasted several hours, TMZ website reports.

Schwarzenegger is said to be recovering well and reportedly commented after waking from surgery: "I'm back."

His spokesman, Daniel Ketchell, said that Schwarzenegger was "in good spirits".

Schwarzenegger, who was dressed casually in a navy blue polo shirt and khaki slacks, was photographed exiting his fancy convertible sports car. Shriver, meanwhile, looked chic in a dark blue wrap dress teamed with a white handbag and classic sandals.
