Pacific products to go on show at July’s Auckland Food Show

The Auckland Food Show is Auckland’s biggest business-to-consumer show that connects hundreds of exhibitors with tens of thousands of food and beverage lovers.

According to a report on Pacific Periscope, visitors come in not only from Auckland but also from other major cities around New Zealand.

Last year, some 30,000 people visited the show, with 97 per cent of the visitors making purchases worth an average of $178 per visitor.

Pacific food companies score big deals at Auckland food show

PTI NZ hosted nine Pacific Island companies from five countries in a special Pacific-themed stand at the Auckland Food Show called the ‘Pacific Hub’, which was visited by thousands of consumers, retailers and distributors throughout the four-day event, sampling, negotiating and ordering product.

Pacific flavours to tickle palates at Auckland Food Show

Among the products that will be on show will be a range of biscuits, snack foods, artesian water (in biodegradable bottles), innovative coconut-based products (like ‘coconut jerky’), chocolate, cocoa and health products based on organically grown turmeric. 

The nine export companies from Papua New Guinea (PNG), Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and Niue will be housed in individual booths at a special, Pacific-themed stand called the Pacific Hub, hosted by Pacific Trade Invest (PTI) New Zealand.

Queen Emma Chocolates and Paradise Spices are manufactured by Papua New Guinea’s largest food manufacturers, Paradise Foods.

The company’s core business is its 31 brands including biscuits, snack foods, chocolates, spices, beverages.  But this time around, they are focused on promoting their chocolates and spices range.

The Auckland Food Show (AFS) is a consumer show that connects a large number of exhibitors with thousands of dedicated food lovers in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.
