Digicel supports Climate Justice fundraising and concert

The Climate Justice fundraising and concert was organized by Vanuatu Wan Voes KIVHAN in partnership with Nabanga groups and the Media Association of Vanuatu on 29 March.

The event was organised after twin cyclones devastated the country earlier this month in an effort to band communities together in solidarity. Also, providing a platform to inform the country on Vanuatu’s climate initiatives.

Digicel delivers a dash of Christmas joy to the Children’s Ward

The Digicel team spread some holiday joy to the young patients and their families filled with Christmas presents last Thursday.

The staff at the hospital were incredibly grateful for the gifts, and the children were overjoyed to receive the presents. It was a great way to spread Christmas cheer and bring a little bit of joy to those in need.

Staff donated food to the hospital kitchen to help with the meals for the children.

Yanson is the First Digicel Christmas Millionaire

Yanson Matalue, 20 years of Malo Island is VT1M richer and will have a brighter Christmas this year. Yanson is a student and lives with his parents who are farmers said he is excited to be the first Digicel Christmas Millionaire.

“This Million Vatu will go a long way for me. I am thinking to use some of it to build a new house for my family. I will use some of it to celebrate the festive season with my loved ones and buy food to share with them,” said Yanson.

New tower with ‘Be a Millionaire’ offer launched in Malo

The establishment of a new tower on Malo is the result of an ongoing relationship between Digicel and the Sanma Provincial Council as the two share the goal of improving communication throughout Sanma.

Digicel was established in Vanuatu in 2008 and has been growing significantly. In September 2021, Digicel launched its 4G network across the country to deliver more value, better coverage and faster network speeds to customers. Digicel also promised that it would continue to work towards delivering 4G to all remote parts of the country.

Digicel sets up massive Christmas tree for the people of Vanuatu

The tree lighting took place last Friday as part of the Christmas in the Park event hosted by the Vanuatu Broadcasting Television Corporation (VBTC) that was held over 2 days and ended with a fireworks show. The 5-meter tree in the country was the star attraction for members of the public at the Christmas in the Park event.

The purpose for this event is to help raise awareness on the possibilities and opportunities that the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies can bring to the societies and economies, as well as to bridge the digital divide.
