LeBron James' eldest son Bronny stable after cardiac arrest

A statement to ESPN said the 18-year-old was training with the University of Southern California (USC) basketball team when the incident happened.

"Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital," it read.

"He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU (intensive care unit)."

It added: "We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information.

James became the fifth player in NBA history to reach the milestone after scoring 20 points with 10 rebounds and 11 assists in the defeat.

"Turnovers killed us," said James.

"We were doing a hell of a job over the last seven games averaging only 12.5 turnovers. Tonight we had 22 for 27 points."

The Grizzlies were without key players Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks but still won, with Jaren Jackson Jr scoring 25 points and Desmond Bane adding 23.

"Everyone in the league knows LeBron's not a dirty guy," said James' Lakers team-mate Anthony Davis. "In fact, when he knew he hit him, as soon as he did it, he looked back at him like, 'Oh, my bad. I didn't try to do it'."
