Royal baby

Mexican news programme accidentally names Harry Styles as father of royal baby

The blunder came as the show covered the first glimpse of Archie along with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex last week.

Above the subtitle, "They showed their first-born for the first time," were the words "Harry Styles y Meghan Markle," meaning Harry Styles and Meghan Markle.

A screenshot of the show's mistake was immediately shared on social, and proceeded to be posted by others.

Most of the reaction focussed around Harry Styles' fans laughing at the faux pas.

Styles himself has not commented on the post.

Duke and Duchess of Sussex name son Archie

Introducing him to the cameras earlier in the day, Meghan said: "He has the sweetest temperament, he's really calm. He's been the dream."

As they laughed, Prince Harry said: "I don't know who he gets that from."

The announcement came after the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh met their eighth and newest great-grandchild for the first time at Windsor Castle.

By deciding to call their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, Harry and Meghan have chosen not to use a title for their first born.

Royal baby named Prince Louis

The couple's second son was born at 11:01 BST on Monday at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in London, weighing 8lb 7oz.

A tweet from Kensington Palace said the baby would be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge (pronounced Lou-ee, not Lou-iss).

The new prince is fifth in line to the throne.

Louis is one of the middle names of Prince William and of the new prince's brother, George.

It was also the first name of Lord Mountbatten - his great-great-great uncle - who was killed by the IRA in 1979.
