Participants were divided into groups to attend each 2-day intensive training from October 9 to 27, 2017.

VMF Commander Job Esau, who is in charge of Van2017 security, explained that people who are going to provide security services for the Games need to have a good understanding of the role expected by Van2017, and need to know what they are representing as Games security.

After months of interviewing, screening and selection processes, the Van2017 Security department has finally awarded contracts to successful applicants.

“This is a very important day for us today”, said CEO Clint Flood, when welcoming the operators for a service contract signing at the Van2017 head office.

For many of you, your work is going to start on November 1, 2017 at Korman. There is a lot of training to be done, a lot of work to be done and while we want you to be a security team, you are more than that and we want you to be ambassadors for the country.
