40 more nurses arrive in Vanuatu

More than 40 nurses from Solomon Islands have arrived in Vanuatu to fill the growing gap in nursing services in hospitals and clinics throughout the country.

Officials from the Ministry of Health and Public Service Commission welcomed the nurses at Bauerfield International Airport, the Daily Post said.

It's the second lot of nurses from the Solomons to come to Vanuatu's aid as it struggles with a shortage.

The ministry's Charlie Harrison said a further 26 nurses would arrive before the end of the year.
