52 Police Recruits pass out with pride from Police College

Filthy-two Police recruits pass out from the Police College on Thursday last week after completing months of training.

The passing out ceremony was held at Independence Park in Port Vila on Thursday morning.

The passing out parade ceremony was witnessed by Acting Commissioner for Police Robson Iavro, Minister of Internal Affairs Andrew Napuat and Australian High Commissioner Jenny Da Rin.

Friends and families of each graduates came to show their cheerful support as they cheered during the whole event.

Each recruit undertook a 5-months training which began on early February, 2019 and ended on June 2019.

The new recruits took their oath of allegiance, signed their Declaration and received their posting letters from the Acting Police Commissioner. They will be taking up their posts after a two-week break.

The 52 new recruits also received their postings during the valediction.

21 new recruits were posted to serve at the Port Vila Police Station, 3 were posted under Police Maritime Wing, 2 posted to Torba Province, 18 were sent to serve at the Sanma Patrol at Santo, 4 at the Malampa Patrol and 4 to Tafea patrol.

Acting Commissioner of Police Robson Iavro thanked and congratulated the new recruits and encouraged the young men and women to continue to perform roles and responsibilities in servicing our nation Vanuatu.
