Vanuatu celebrates Pacific Mini Games opening with Public Holiday

Vanuatu President Tallis Obed Moses has declared Monday, 4 December a Public Holiday to commemorate the opening of the 10th Pacific Mini Games.

The Public Holiday will give the people of Vanuatu the opportunity to attend the opening ceremony in Port Vila.    

The President made the declaration on Friday under the Public Holidays Act.

Over the weekend communities in Port-Vila have joined hands to prepare for the official opening of the Pacific Mini Games.

Men, women, youths and children have been rehearsing dances and activities to make the opening ceremony a success in the Pacific Mini Games history

People in Vanuatu and the region are looking forward to the grand opening to be staged on Monday 4 December at 6pm (local time)
