Vanuatu Ecotours supports National Arts Festival

Vanuatu Ecotours has proudly come on board as a sponsor of the 4th National Arts Festival.

“Vanuatu Ecotour’s sponsorship of the 4th National Arts Festival shows our commitment to sustainable tourism,” said Vanuatu Ecotours General Manager, Marc Giraud.

“Our responsibility is to help protect the environmental and cultural treasures of this amazing country. Respect for the environment and for the people of Vanuatu is at the heart of Vanuatu Ecotours.“

“Tourism in Vanuatu trades on Vanuatu culture and kastom,” said Mr Giraud. “It makes sense that the tourism industry supports this important national celebration of Vanuatu culture.”

Vanuatu Ecotours operates a range of “off the beaten track“ day tours on Efate but also specialises in outer island adventures.

“We offer authentic experiences and are keen to support the growth of tourism in communities throughout Vanuatu. For example, only 2% of visitors to Vanuatu come to Malekula, where the Arts Festival will be held. Malekula has a wealth of cultural experiences and great trekking opportunities, so we are keen to bring more tourists here,” said Mr Giraud

The 4th National Arts Festival is being held now to Friday 23rd August at Lakatoro, Malekula.

The Festival aims to promote the cultural diversity of all Vanuatu’s islands by bringing the nation’s different cultures to one centre stage to showcase traditional knowledge and skills.

The Festival will highlight different aspects of culture including custom dances, ceremonies, traditional songs, traditional food and weaving, to encourage the transfer of this knowledge to younger generations.
