Vanuatu looks forward to hosting 7th Melanesians Arts and Cultural Festival

Vanuatu will host the 7th Melanesian Arts and Cultural Festival in 2022.

The chairperson of the Vanuatu National Cultural Council, Vanuatu Jenny Ligo assured Melanesian countries her country looks forward to receiving them in 2022.

Ligo gave the assurance during the closing ceremony of the 6th Melanesians Arts and Cultural Festival in Honiara, Solomon Islands on Tuesday night.

Solomon Islands Deputy Prime Minister, Manasseh Sogavare thanked all participants saying the festival was a huge success.

“We are so proud to see despite our limited resources the Solomon Islands people are yet and again demonstrated the cooperation attitude and determination spirit to stand together, play host to our Melanesian brothers and sisters in the last 10 days with pride and success.”

Sogavare said he believed all the participating countries have achieved the aims and objectives of MACFest 2018 under the theme “Past Recollections; Future Connections”.
