Vanuatu Travel show opens today

Deputy Prime Minister Bob Loughman who is also Minister responsible for Tourism Trade commerce and Vanuatu Business, opened the Vanuatu Travel Show in Port Vila today.

During the opening remarks he thanked the hard-working staff of Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO), staff of Warwick Le Lagoon and Sponsors who worked very hard for the success preparation of this one-day event.

DMP Loughman also quoted a quote from Winston Churchill which stated that ‘Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts’

“I look forward for the successful outcome of this event not this year, but next year 2019”

He said he was very happy to see how the local tourism industry has grown over the years, now with many more local Ni-Vanuatu businesses offering accommodation, tours and transfer services”.

The travel show is a free event happening today before Tok Tok Vanuatu tomorrow Thursday 30 August which continues to bring ashore the largest number of Vanuatu Tourism operators for both Sellers and Buyers across local and international regions.

The 6 Provincial tourism offices, travel call centers, and local tour and inbound operators based on Efate, Santo, and outer islands have developed travel packages for the islands which is on display throughout today at the second Vanuatu Travel Show

Adela Issachar Aru, CEO of the Vanuatu Tourism Office states, “As the marketing authority for destination Vanuatu, not only do we want to attract international visitors to Vanuatu to take advantage of all that is to explore and enjoy across our islands, but we want to encourage our own people to get out and about and enjoy these very experiences throughout the provinces”.
