Vanuatu Tourism Australia roadshow on this week

The Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) and members of the tourism industry are in Australia this week to participate in the Australian roadshow.

About 150 travel agents have been invited to test their destination knowledge through the showcasing of Vanuatu’s latest and greatest offerings.

The event will also heighten existing as well as new business opportunities between Vanuatu tourism operators and travel agents. 

The 2018 Vanuatu Roadshow includes three events with the first in Sydney on Monday 7 May, 2018; followed by Brisbane on Wednesday 9 May, 2018; and Melbourne wrapping up the roadshows on Thursday 10 May, 2018. 

Vanuatu Tourism Office’s Chief Executive Officer, Adela Issachar Aru, said each of the events will provide an interactive platform for agents to receive updates and news first-hand, playing a vital role in increasing travel agents’ destination knowledge and raising awareness of all Vanuatu has to offer.

“The 2018 roadshows will concentrate on strengthening the profile of Vanuatu within the Australian market through not only educating and informing but providing the chance for front line agents to build one-on-one relationships with local operators, in turn opening up opportunities for considerable growth,” said Ms Issachar Aru.

The evenings commenced with networking sessions which allowed agents to interact with the operators face-to-face these are the industry hoteliers and tour companies followed by a two-course dinner and drinks as well as multiple chances to win a selection of fantastic prizes, including a trip to Vanuatu.
