Harry Styles is helping global education

Harry Styles has done good and released a video highlighting the importance of education.

As part of a charity to help tackle global issues such as extreme poverty, inequality and climate change, One Direction are just one of the famous names supporting Action/2015's ambitious campaign.

"I really loved my school days," Styles said.

"When we went to Ghana we met children whose only dream was to get an education.

"At the moment they have to work all day, every day just to earn enough to eat. Going to school could literally change their lives, but for now all they can look forward to is a life of struggle and they deserve so much more."

It is part of the wider Action/2015 campaign, which is a global citizens movement united by the idea that 2015 can be the year when the world sets the agenda to finally tackle these crucial problems.

Shakira, Ben Affleck, Sir Richard Branson, Bill and Melinda Gates, Bono, Malala Yousafzai and Emeritus Archbishop Desmond Tutu are among the other high-profile names supporting the campaign.
