Amicale and Vanuatu young top football player, Dominique Fred faces a race against time to get fit for Vanuatu national senior team for the OFC Nations Cup in Papua New Guinea next month.
Vanuatu senior team physiotherapy, Albert Kaipam reported that Fred had a problem with his right foot when he played for Amicale FC against Auckland City in the OFC Champions League competition few weeks ago.
“Dominique Fred injured his right foot and he will not be able to train with the national team for two or three weeks.” said Albert Kaipam.
“He is a very good player and we need him in the squad.”
“I will do my best to help him come to training as soon as possible if God’s will.”
In a another national senior team news, Solomon Warriors FC players, Brian Kaltack, Kensi Tangis and Daniel Natou will arrive back to Vanuatu this weekend and will be back on training with the team on Monday.
AS Majenta striker, Bill Nicholls is also expected to arrive this weekend.
