The Vanuatu Cricket Association conducted school holiday programmes for women in the communities of Ekipe, Seaside, Erakor and Wan Smol Bag (WSB) and brought kids together to play some fun activities.
The programme involved cricket basic skills and technique displayed through fun activities during which the girls were involved in. A few boys were eager to join in the fun activities.
The participants from the three communities and WSB also had the opportunity to go through a 15 minute health awareness talk and being a good sportsman requires a healthy and safe environment.
Through the regional Pacific Sports Partnership programme supported by the Australian Government, VCA is able to extend its cricket programme to these communities.
