Team Vanuatu athletes receive a boost from Digicel Vanuatu

Digicel Vanuatu once again took their support for local sports a step further when Digicel Vanuatu’s Commercial Director, Madhukar Saini handed over 150 athlete uniforms for Team Vanuatu to compete in during the Melanesian Athletics Championships.

Team Vanuatu Head Coach, David Benjimen received the uniforms on behalf of Team Vanuatu alongside Vanuatu’s own Elite Athlete and current 60m indoor sprint record holder, Daniel Philimon.

Coach Benjimen was thrilled to receive the uniforms and thanked Digicel Vanuatu for their ongoing support and help to make things even better for Team Vanuatu.

Digicel Vanuatu Chief Executive Officer, Yaser Maher said “Digicel Vanuatu is very proud to support Team Vanuatu. These young men and women are our country’s top Track and Field athletes and have such great potential as representatives of Vanuatu. To be able to be part of their endeavors, is something we take great pride in. We hope the people of Vanuatu will come out in numbers to support Team Vanuatu over the next 3 days for what should be a fantastic event.”

The Championships which kicked off today will run till Friday 11th May 2018.
