Ifira Black Bird striker, Moffat Kilifa and Erakor Golden Star defender, Jason Thomas will miss their important matches in the AFIC Top Four competition after they were penalized by the referee in their first game.
Kilifa and Thomas were sent off by referee Banga Robinson in the first match last Saturday.
Port Vila Football Association (PVFA) competition manager, Florian Sam said the match between Ifira and Erakor is tough and hundreds of fans turned up to watch the match.
“According to the regulation of the competition, both players will miss their important matches in the competition and this is a reminder to all players in the three remaining clubs, Erakor, Ifira and Amicale that the referees will always apply the laws of the game to make sure that we preach the spirit of fair play,” Sam said.
“On the same note PVFA would like to ask the supporters to support their teams with the spirit of Fair Play too,” he added.
Erakor Golden Star will take on Digicel Amicale in the semifinal of the competition at 2pm on Saturday.
