Chrissy Teigen and John Legend announce pregnancy

The US model, aged 36, shared an Instagram post showing herself visibly pregnant, saying she was feeling "hopeful and amazing".

"Joy has filled our home and hearts again," she added.

In September 2020, she lost a baby, whom the couple had named Jack, after suffering complications and bleeding.

Teigen previously said that the loss was "the greatest pain I could ever imagine".

At the time, she wrote that she and her husband were "shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before".

In a blog post, the US model reflected on "the crushing weight of regret for the things I've said in the past".

Teigen published a series of tweets in May apologising to TV personality Courtney Stodden, who accused her of online bullying.

Stodden accepted the apology but said it could just be an attempt to limit damage to Teigen's reputation.

In her latest blog post, Teigen said she was privately reaching out to people she'd insulted in the past, though she did not say who.

In her latest post, Teigen revealed the Los Angeles-based couple had been planning to call the baby Jack.

The singer made the revelation during a recent interview with The Guardian.

Legend and Teigen met in 2007, when the model was cast as the love interest in the music video for his song "Stereo."

"We spent the whole day dancing together, grinding together," he said. "And, uh, we made a music video."

They became a couple and have been together for more than a decade other than, Legend told the publication, an attempted breakup that lasted only half an hour.

The couple announced the birth of their first child on social media Sunday. Their daughter was born Thursday.

"She's here! Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy," Teigen wrote on Instagram, posting a photo of a sign announcing the baby's weight of 6lb 11oz.
