Princess Mary of Denmark arrives in Fiji

The crown princess was received yesterday by Fiji’s Minister for Rural and Maritime Development Sakiasi Ditoka at the Nadi International Airport and Nausori International Airport respectively.

The Princess is accompanied by Denmark’s Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen.

This historic royal visit to Fiji demonstrates the friendship between the two nations and it will further strengthen Fiji and Denmark’s cooperation in key development priorities such as climate change, women and girl empowerment, health, and awareness.

Princess Mary of Denmark touches down in Vanuatu

The Danish royal touched down on the tiny island in the Pacific region to visit crisis responses areas following the area's recent cyclones and earthquakes. 

The 51-year-old's visit will focus on the impact that climate change has had in the region. Vanuatu has faced ruin after it experienced two cyclones over a two-day period at the beginning of March and was also hit by two earthquakes.

Denmark winger Yussuf Poulsen conceded his second penalty in as many games when video replays led to a decision of handball against him and Jedinak buried the ensuing spot-kick to earn Australia their first point of the tournament.

Bert van Marwijk's side had to grind out a draw against a Denmark side who showed flashes of brilliance, none better than Christian Eriksen's seventh-minute opener.

The Danes had been a dominant force all week; with a stunning round of 60 in the fourballs on Friday helping them carry a four-shot lead into a final day where they played the same format.

They did not have it all their own way, however, and the lead was cut to one shot on the back nine as the United States and China both kept applying pressure, whilst France and Sweden made late surges.

Auckland lifeguard saves Danish prince on Gold Coast

The quick thinking lifeguard Nick Malcolm, from Mairangi Bay, saved the life of the heir to the Danish throne, following a swift rescue on Australia's Gold Coast on Thursday.

Malcolm quickly paddled out to save 10-year-old Prince Christian after he was swept out to sea by a rip at Mermaid Beach.
