Digicel Fiji Provides Support to Diabetes Fiji

Digicel Fiji and Telstra have announced a new ‘One Child, One Machine’ program, which will see 50 Diabetes machines and a year’s supply of Diabetes sticks (a total of 20,000 sticks) delivered to underprivileged children with Type 1 diabetes.

Digicel Fiji officially received a license in Fiji to test 5G technology on 17th April from the Ministry of Communications.

Australia partners with Digicel to boost agricultural productivity in Fiji

Traditionally, farmers have relied heavily on inherited farming knowledge and practices to establish and manage their farms. A major challenge for the industry remains timely access to the latest farming advice.

This innovative project hopes to connect farmers to the latest information and advisory services to help boost their productivity. The project will first undertake market research to determine the information needs of farmers across several regions in the country.

Meals for frontliners from Digicel through ‘Feed a Fijian’ Initiative

In addition to the over 300 meals for frontline workers, food ration packs will be distributed to 28 needy households.

Digicel Fiji announces additional $13M investment in network upgrade

Over the last two years a massive $30M has been invested in upgrade which saw most cell sites in the main centres upgrade to LTE Advance Pro Technology (Pre-5G) and increased LTE coverage in maritime areas.

Pacific Energy sign up with Digicel Fiji

The company is now the privileged telecommunications provider for Pacific Energy which includes mobile services, vehicle tracking and internet services.

Pacific Energy Chief Executive Officer, Randall Vallette said; “We are delighted to ink this new deal with Digicel, the country’s best data network. We have been their fuel suppliers for over eight years and our partnership has become stronger over time.”

The charging stations are set up daily at the following Digicel stores: Digicel Cumming Street Store (9 am – 5 pm), Digicel MHCC (9 am – 8 pm), Digicel Damodar City (9 am – 8 pm), Digicel Nadi Store (9 am – 4 pm), Digicel Lautoka Store (9 am – 4 pm), Digicel Sigatoka Store (9 am – 4 pm) and Digicel Labasa Store.

Digicel Fiji provides $10,000 cash funding to IWA

Digicel worked in partnership with the IWA, a non-profit organization to see the first milestone project through in December 2018, which introduced a new teleconference facility at the CWM Children’s Hospital in Suva.

Big principal sponsorship boost for Fiji Netball

Both companies are excited to ink a new three-year deal for a ‘substantial’ investment after initially signing on as major netball sponsors in 2014.
