Neymar's assets frozen

The federal court in Sao Paulo announced it was issuing warrants to freeze almost $76 million worth of assets belonging to the Brazil and Barcelona striker.

They include a yacht, a jet and several properties.

Neymar has been accused of tax evasion between 2011 and 2013 and faces legal proceedings. He has denied any wrongdoing.

Senior squad starts training

Head coach Moise Poida has requested all the players to return to training this week, starting Wednesday, 10 February at 5pm at Port Vila Stadium.

"I am very happy with the response from the senior players last year before we played against Fiji at Port Vila Stadium.” said Moise Poida.

“We want the clubs to release their players to come to training again and help us prepare well for the OFC Nations Cup in Papua New Guinea.”

Just Play hits Ambae and Emae Island

Just Play Vanuatu Project manager, Rorona Kalsakau said hundreds of kids turned up last weekend and enjoyed a special day of kids football and the main topic of the two festivals is Child Protection.

She thanked the JP coordinator of Penama Football Association, Father Albert Toalak for bringing the kids together.

During the festival the kids played basic football before exchanging key messages about how to make life safe in a community during their daily activities.

PNG Football could face sanctions after qualifying withdrawal

New Zealand won the opening leg 7-1 in Lae on Saturday and will represent Oceania at the Olympic Tournament in Rio after PNG pulled out.

FIFA were notified of PNG's withdrawal when the squad did not receive the required visas to enter New Zealand for the return match.

VFF secures 50 year lease of PV stadium

The 50 years lease agreement has been signed by the Minister of Youth and Sport, Mr. Samson Samsen, VFF President Mr. Lambert Maltock and the Sport Commission chairman Mr. William Nasak at the Youth and Sport Office in Port Vila on Tuesday 5 January.

“I am delighted that VFF has been able to reach an agreement with the Government today.” said  Mr. Maltock.

Transfer window opens 15 January

“I know that Christmas and New Year holidays are now over and clubs in Vanuatu will start their football season soon.” Said Bong Shem.

“I just want to remind all football clubs and players that the transfer window will open from the 15 January to 15 February 2016.”
