Ayrault reaffirmed the importance France attaches to this region and in particular to Vanuatu which has maintained a special relationship with France and has very close ties with neighboring New Caledonia.
Jean-Marc Ayrault underscored the importance of small island developing states in climate negotiations, the need for their voices to be heard in these negotiations and for them to be able to take part in the implementation of the Paris Agreement.
