Adele finally announces rescheduled Las Vegas dates

"Words can't explain how ecstatic I am to finally be able to announce these rescheduled shows," she said on social media as she revealed the new dates.

"I truly was heartbroken to have to cancel them."

The decision to scrap the initial run came just 24 hours before the first show was due to take place in January.

"I'm so sorry, but my show ain't ready," the star told fans in a tearful Instagram post at the time.

"Half my team have Covid and it's been impossible to finish the show," she said, adding that "delivery delays" had also played havoc with her plans.

The Russian car with no driver at the wheel

When Russian tech giant Yandex invited me to go for a ride on the actual streets of Las Vegas in its model - a reworked Toyota Prius loaded with sensors and a big computer in the boot - I was expecting to be underwhelmed.

I've seen mini-delivery trucks pootle around at walking speeds on test tracks and I've been in a driverless car with a human very much at the wheel, fingers nervously poised millimetres from the steering wheel "just in case".

And rightly so - when autonomous car tech goes wrong, as Tesla and Uber can both testify, the results can be catastrophic.

Joshua-Klitschko II could be heading for Las Vegas

Joshua retained his IBF crown and gained the WBA and lesser-regarded IBO belts by stopping Klitschko in the 11th round of an epic battle at Wembley Stadium in April.

The champion is awaiting a decision on the second bout from the 41-year-old Ukrainian, who hinted at retirement following just his fifth career defeat in London.

Promoter Eddie Hearn has held discussions with Klitschko's manager Bernd Bonte and feels a Las Vegas bout could be the key to locking the fight in, though Nigeria, Dubai and Cardiff are also in the hosting mix.

Hawaiian Airlines plane diverted over blanket row

A passenger had asked for the wrap because he was cold, and was outraged when he was asked to pay $12 (£9.80).

Police said the man, 66, said he "would like to take someone behind the woodshed for this", which the pilot deemed threatening and then ordered the plane be diverted to Los Angeles.

No crime had been committed, police added.

Two new caps in Fijiana 7s team

Nadi pair Aloesi Nakoci and Vasiti Solikoviti have forced their way into the team following an intense two week training program.

Head coach Iliesa Tanivula said they've focused on improving their defence and decision making in contact in training.

"The two new girls play for Nadi Blazers and they have got on well with the team on and off the field," he said.

"Nakoci comes in to replace Viniana Riwai, [who] unfortunately got injured, in Sydney and this will be an opportunity for her to show why she has been selected.

"Watch Lexie pop!" Spears captioned one of the videos, referring to her older brother Bryan's daughter, who can be spotted closer to the wall adorably trying to follow along with the older girls.

Britney Spears could extend her Vegas residency into 2016

According to a cluster of pictures doing the rounds on Twitter, Live Nation has let it slip that Britney's planning a new run of shows from January 2 to April 22.
