Madonna: 'I want to reinvent pop tours'

From its hydraulic stage to Jean-Paul Gaultier's iconic costumes, it raised the bar for stadium-sized spectacle.

Now, after seven huge world tours, the star tells the BBC she's "exploring" a smaller-scale show in the future.

"I've done so many shows - world tours, stadiums, sports arenas, you name it - that I feel like I have to reinvent that now too," she explains.

"I like doing intimate shows and being able to talk directly to the audience.

Race factored into Tupac and Madonna breaking up

In a note to Madonna, reportedly written by Shakur while he was serving time in prison in 1995, he acknowledges ending their romantic relationship because of her race.

"For you to be seen with a black man wouldn't in any way jeopardize your career, if anything it would make you seem that much more open and exciting," Tupac wrote. "But for me at least in my previous perception I felt due to my 'image' that I would be letting down half of the people who made me what I thought I was."

The venerable actress had some harsh words for the material girl during her Tuesday night appearance on "Watch What Happens Live."

She cut loose after a caller inquired as to whether she and Madonna had ever discussed their "two iconic performances as Evita."

LuPone won a Tony Award in 1980 for her starring role the Broadway musical "Evita," based on the life of Argentina's former first lady, Eva Perón.

Madonna won a Golden Globe for her starring role the 1996 film adaption of the musical, but LuPone is not impressed.

Madonna granted permission to adopt two children from Malawi

The country's High Court made the ruling today.

The singer already has two children from the African country - David, adopted in 2006, and Mercy, adopted in 2009.

Malawian judiciary spokesman Mlenga Mvula said the singer was inside the court in Lilongwe when the ruling was given.

"In fact, at the time we were granting her the permission she was in the courtroom with her lawyers," Mr Mvula said.

But less than two weeks ago Madonna denied reports she'd applied to adopt any more children, during a charity visit to Malawi.

But the superstar singer stirred controversy with some of her more passionate remarks at the Washington, D.C. event.

That's because in addition to dropping a few "F-bombs," she also indicated just how upset the election results had made her.

"Yes, I'm angry. Yes, I am outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House," Madonna said. "But I know that this won't change anything. We cannot fall into despair."

In an Instagram posting on Sunday, Madonna said she wanted to clarify her statements.

The 58-year-old star took to Twitter to post a racy snap with the caption “[I’m] voting naked with Katy Perry!! Vote for Hillary. She's the Best we got! Nude Voting series # 1.”

She also stood up for Rosie O’Donnell, who has been in a heated feud with republican candidate Donald Trump.

Madonna’s nude snap came on the heels of Perry’s “Funny or Die” video that showed the “Rise” singer heading to polls and stripping down.

After waiting two hours for the pop queen to appear, a rowdy Vector Crowd was getting impatient, but she took the stage at full power and literally never stopped.

During an interview with RadioLive on Thursday, host Mark Sainsbury asked if Bishop Dunn was just being "an old fuddy-duddy".  The Bishop replied, "I don't really care, quite honestly".
