Over 700 people receive first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in North Efate

The vaccination was held at the Saupia Health Centre in Paunangisu village.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that 23 people were vaccinated on the first day of the campaign.

105 people reported in the second day, 132 on the third day, 288 last Friday.

Nearly 200 received theirs yesterday.

The vaccination target for north Efate and offshore islands is around 6,000.

The vaccination rollout at Paunangisu is scheduled for two weeks.

     

North Efate choir fundraises for Pacific Mini Games costumes

More than 160 youths and people from the communities of Emua, Sama, Paunangisu and others gathered together at Paunangisu village last Friday for a fund raiser organized by the choir.

Alphonse Jack, who is the coordinator of the choir group as well as of this fund-raising program, explained that the purpose of that event was to collect funds toward the purchase of their costumes for the Opening ceremony of the Pacific Mini Games.

Strengthening environmental leadership and governance in North Efate

This follows a Social Leadership, Governance and Strategic Planning training conducted recently (14-17 February) in Mangaliliu Village on Vanuatu’s Efate island, which was co-convened by the Shefa Provincial government and the Pacific Community (SPC).
