Oceania countries still to decide on next FIFA President

Five candidates are running to replace the suspended Sepp Blatter: the president of the Asian Football Confederation, Salman Bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa of Bahrain; FIFA Vice-President, Prince Ali bin Al Hussein of Jordan; former FIFA executive, Jérôme Champagne of France; Tokyo Sexwale, of South Africa; and UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino of Switzerland.

Huge hearts and big ambitions kick-off Oceania’s journey

But already three of the smallest nation’s in world football have seen their dreams ended, while for the remainder the coming year provides an opportunity to dream big about the prospects for glory. The likes of continental champions Tahiti and 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa participants New Zealand are turning their attention to their mid-year matches, but for now the spotlight has been elsewhere.

Fiji to Host 2015 Oceania Rugby Junior Trophy

The 2015 Oceania Rugby Junior Trophy will be hosted by the Fiji Rugby Union at ANZ Stadium, Suva between 27 November and 5 December, 2015.

This was announced by FRU CEO Radrodro Tabualevu at a Press Conference on Friday.

“We are pleased to announce that the Fiji Rugby Union will host the 2015 Oceania Rugby Junior Trophy.”

“There are four teams that will play in the tournament, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Vanuatu and the Vodafone Fiji U20.”
