Samia Shahid 'honour killing': Father dismisses murder accusations

Chaudhry Muhammad Shahid made the denial before he appeared in court along with Ms Shahid's first husband, Chaudhry Muhammad Shakeel, who is accused of murder.

Mr Shahid is being held as an accessory to her murder.

Ms Shahid, 28, from Bradford, died in July in northern Punjab.

The BBC has since learnt that Ms Shahid had not obtained a legal divorce before her second marriage.

A final report into her death was due to be presented in court, but the prosecution said it needed more time to examine it.

He was suspended from two important councils as a result.

Ms Baloch, 26, was strangled by her brother Waseem early on Saturday in their hometown of Multan.

He admitted the apparent "honour killing", saying it was justified.

The cleric has denied any role in the murder but says he will appear for questioning if summoned by police.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) said in a statement that Shah tested positive for chlortalidone last month, a diuretic drug which features in the World Anti-Doping Agency's list of prohibited substances.

"The sample Yasir provided in an in-competition test, which was conducted on 13 November 2015, was found to contain the presence of chlortalidone..." the governing body said in a statement.

Pakistan blast leave several dead at Multan bus station

Officials say the explosion happened when a motorcycle hit a motorised rickshaw at the busy bus stop, causing a large fire.

Police believe one of the vehicles was carrying explosives but forensic teams are still investigating.

Ball bearings were recovered from the site of the explosion.

Local media quoted officials as saying that a bomb was fitted to the motorcycle, but one police official said that a bomb was remotely detonated.

No group has said it carried out an attack.
