Prince Philip, 99, in hospital 'as a precaution'

Prince Philip, 99, was taken to the King Edward VII Hospital in London, the statement added.

A palace source told the BBC that he travelled by car to the hospital, where he was admitted on his doctor's advice.

The duke had been feeling unwell for a few days, but it was not related to coronavirus, the source added.

It added that he was "in good spirits" in hospital, where is expected to remain for a few days of observation and rest.

The duke walked into the hospital.

The Queen, 94, remains at Windsor.

Deepfake queen to deliver Channel 4 Christmas message

While the Queen is delivering her traditional message on the BBC and ITV, her digitally created doppelgänger will be sharing its "thoughts" on Channel 4.

Buckingham Palace told the BBC it had no comment on the broadcast.

Channel 4 said the intention was to give a "stark warning" about fake news in the digital age.

Deepfake technology can be used to create convincing yet entirely fictional video content, and is often used to spread misinformation.

The souvenir chocolate tin was discovered at the bottom of a box of personal papers from the estate of Australian bush poet Andrew Barton "Banjo" Paterson.

Remarkably, the chocolates were not only unmolested after more than a century, but still looked - almost - good enough to eat.

The chocolate bar, marked into six fingers, still had remnants of old straw packing and silver foil wrapping.

When she was taking part in her first public video call last month, her daughter Princess Anne helped her with Zoom.

The adorable exchange features in ITV's upcoming royal documentary celebrating Anne's 70th birthday, Mail Online reports.

In the clip, posted on Twitter by ITV's royal editor Chris Ship, Anne asks the Queen: "Can you see everybody? You should have six people on your screen."

She replies: "Yes, well I can see four anyway."

Anne's amusing response: "Actually, you don't need me. You know what I look like."

Queen promises 'better days will return' in rare televised address on Covid-19

In her address, which was broadcast on TV, radio and social media, she thanked everyone on the NHS frontline.

"I am sure the nation will join me in assuring you that what you do is appreciated and every hour of your hard work brings us closer to a return to more normal times," she said.

There are thanks from the Queen too for "those of you who are staying at home" and by doing so, "helping to protect the vulnerable and sparing many families the pain already felt by those who have lost loved ones".

A royal source told The Sun: “She is in good health but it was thought best to move her. A lot of her staff are a bit panicky over coronavirus.

“The Palace hosts a constant stream of visitors including politicians and dignitaries from around the world.

Prince Philip to step down from carrying out royal engagements

Prince Philip, who turns 96 in June, made the decision himself and the Queen supported him, a spokesman said.

"I'm sorry to hear you're standing down", one man told him at a royal lunch on Thursday. "Well, I can't stand up much," the duke quipped.

The duke will attend already scheduled engagements between now and August but will not accept new invitations.

The Queen "will continue to carry out a full programme of official engagements", the palace said.
