VFF withdraw Women’s Team from Friendly Fame

VFF stated that with issues regarding the recent trip of Senior Men’s Trip, it is important that travelers must be prepared well in advance to avoid unforeseen disruption and unnecessary expenses in travel costs as well as disturbing the preparation of teams.

“At least all National trip preparation and travel documents must be ready at least 1 month before departure times” VFF stated.

VFF has informed Solomon Islands Football about this withdrawal.

The VFF still hopes to provide opportunities for the National Teams before the Pacific Games in December 2023.

Vanuatu Football Federation thankful for support at OFC Under-17 Championship

VFF President, Lambert Maltock expressed gratitude while welcoming the U-17 team at the Bauerfield Airport yesterday afternoon.

Maltock applauded the young lads for putting on a great performance in the championship in Fiji despite not participating in any international friendlies on their build up towards the championship.

Vanuatu Football to host a beach soccer clinic

Development Officer, Ben Hungai said VFF seeks to prepare a future beach soccer national team compromising of elite beach soccer players.

He confirmed that the recent youth league has seen VFF scouting for players and attending its beach soccer performing center at the Teouma Academy, commencing in September.

VFF aims to implement beach soccer league as well throughout its Member Associations to address OFC's goals as well.

The Vanuatu football’s futsal youth programme was implemented with the federation selecting 22 players.

Galaxy FC wins Vanuatu Football Champions League

The team defeated Ruerue FC 3-0 at the Luganville Soccer Stadium, last weekend.

Galaxy FC received the VFF CL 2021 trophy with VT2.5 million cash prize.

Runners up of the competition, Ruerue FC walked away with VT1 million.

Both teams have booked their spot in the 2022 Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) with Ruerue FC participating for the first time.

Galaxy FC striker, Kency Tangis scored the first goal with Sika Manuhi adding two extras to give the VFF defending champions its second title in a row.

     

Vanuatu Football confirms Women’s Championship in October

The competition will be held from 7 October to 20 October with the venue yet to be decided.

The Women’s Championship was approved after the Men’s competition was scheduled to kick off in Luganville Santo, this month.

VFF’s Competition Manager, Bong Shem confirmed that all players eligible to play in any VFF competitions in country from now, will base mainly on Comet registrations.

Pool draws confirmed for Vanuatu Football Federation Champions League

Pool A consists of Sanma FA, Penama FA, Shefa FA and Tafea FA.

While, Port Vila FA, Torba FA, Luganville FA and Malama FA are drawn in Pool B.

The competition will take place at Lugainville Soccer Stadium from 23 June to 3 July.

The VFF Champions league will see all VFF Member Associations battling for qualification in the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) 2022 O-League competition.

     

Vanuatu Football Federation Champions League scheduled for June

Currently, Galaxy FC and Malampa Revivors FC have qualified for the 2021 O-League competition.

The football federation is awaiting confirmation from the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) and the Fijian government, about the hosting of the venue.

The competition usually takes place in Port Vila however VFF has decided to take the competitions to its Member Associations as well.

VFF’s Competition Manager, Bong Shem confirmed that the competition will bring together all active soccer league champion clubs in Vanuatu, coming from their respective Associations.

Vanuatu Football Federation to introduce Futsal Youth Super league competition

VFF Southern Technical Director, Joel Rarua said that football development is growing and VFF is committed to addressing all components of football such as futsal and beach soccer.

“Almost 70% of VFF’s Member Associations have implemented futsal programmes in their activities which is a progress for Futsal development,” he said.

Vanuatu Football Federations implements new registration system

VFF Competitions Manager, Bong Shem said the comet system will provide accurate and accessible information on football programmes and competitions.

He said more importantly it will help update information about VFF programmes, players, leagues and clubs for the Oceania Football Confederations and FIFA.

“Once the lockdown is uplifted, then our comet registrations will resume stadium, clubs and player registrations.”

Shem said it is a step forward for VFF and development of football in the country.

Vanuatu Football receives more than 100 sets new uniforms for referees

The uniforms were delivered by Leisieli Naulangi Joseph from Pacific Sports Supplies who is a local partner for ‘The Foundation’ in Vanuatu.

‘The Foundation’ has also provided similar assistance to other local teams as well as to other countries in the region.

VFF also acknowledges Pacific Sports Supplies for the contribution.
