Bernard Daniel shines for Golden Star

Daniel scored Erakor Golden Star’s first goal against Ifira Black Bird FC at Port Vila Stadium last weekend.

Daniel previously played for Spirit 08 FC since 2008 and only joined Erakor Golden Star this year.

He continued to train hard and made it to the first 11 of Erakor Golden Star and last Saturday he hit Erakor first goal in 15 minutes.

After he scored, he felt down on his knees and gave God the glory.

A report by Vanuafoot says Daniel is a strong player and always plays with his heart and continues to run until the final whistle.

The exercise was part of a recent conference organised by the Latter-day Saints Church.

The theme of the conference was: “A sure foundation.”

Local Latter-day Saint leader, Norton Atkins, explained that the activities organized during the three-day event aimed to remind the young people to base their lives on the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Vanuatu no confidence motions 'valid' - analyst

RNZ reports one motion was withdrawn and another ruled invalid due to their lack of support in the 52-seat parliament.

Proposed constitutional amendments would change the rules for filing no confidence motions that have defeated five Vanuatu prime ministers over the last 20 years.

However, the analyst Dr Tess Newton-Cain said the two failed motions represented valid concerns of backbench MPs.

Erakor Golden Star qualify for Champions League

The long wait is over and their dreams came through when Tony Kaltack hit two beautiful goals against Ifira Black Bird and one each from Bernard Daniel and Jacky Rueben.

Erakor set up a new story for Port Vila Football to qualify for Champions League after Amicale and Tafea dominated for the last 15 years.

Amicale beat Tafea 3-2 in the earlier match on Saturday (yesterday) but Erakor Golden Star were so good, controlling most of the areas in the field and smashed neighbor Ifira Black Bird 4-0 to seal their spot in the OFC competition.
