Spear headed by the heart-felt television commercial (TVC), the campaign will draw on the importance of taking time out and slowing down.

Radio Vanuatu reports this will be reflected through eight life-affirming tenets that will form the content pillars of the campaign. VTO’s general manager, Linda Kalpoi, said the latest campaign has been established based on what the people of Vanuatu believe in and practice every day.

Speaking at the First World Conference on Tourism for Development in Beijing, China yesterday, Mr Natuman emphasised the need for improvement in what Vanuatu already had in terms of tourism and infrastructure.

When expanding on the overview of Vanuatu’s performance in these two sectors, Mr Natuman said people in Vanuatu are mostly living in a subsistence economy in a least developed country scenario, and that sustainable development is not just a policy direction by the government in its 2015-2030 sustainable development plan.

Brian, Jean and Tony have all represented Vanuatu at various levels, but OFC's most prestigious international competition is the first time the trio will turn out together at senior level.

While Brian has previously played for Erakor Golden Star, their village club, he is currently with Solomon Warriors based in Honiara, while both Tony and Jean continue to ply their trade for their childhood side.

And Vanuatu has called on parties directly concerned to stay committed to open friendly dialogue and peaceful settlement of disputes over territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests around the area.

His coming to Vanuatu was impelled by a visit to his home village of Koyo in Guadalcanal by the Presbyterian Paama Seaside Men’s Fellowship in 2013.

He later proclaimed himself a pastor after encountering unfavorable relationship with the Port Vila Presbyterian Session and formed his own evangelical prayer ministry and resided in different places in Port Vila.

RNZI reports the Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu is one of several key hotels opening again after repairing damage from the devastating cyclone.

Resort Manager Simon Douthett said the closure was difficult as they had to let go of most of the resort's 160 workers.

The festival is now underway in Guam and is the largest cultural event in the region with 27 Pacific countries and territories participating.

RNZI reports the 24 year old only starting competing five years ago and has represented Vanuatu at three senior World Championships.

He missed out on automatic qualification, having finished 13th out of 20 at last months Asia/Oceania Championships in Korea (the top seven qualified directly), but was awarded a place in Brazil by the International Olympic Committee.
