Event organisers Van2017 are working alongside private security firms in the capital Port Vila as well as engaging with community security services.
Security Coordinator Job Esau said they will provide services in areas such as security for the athletes, VIPs, officials, Sports Ministers, the Games Villages and sporting venues.
He said there will also be security on the fields of play during competition and working in surveillance and access controls.
Mr Esau added there will be a strong presence around the Games and Vanuatu Police will provide support in border control and traffic.
About 3000 athletes are expected to compete in the Mini Games, which get underway on December 4.
