Vanuatu PSC welcomes 28 Solomons nurses

The Vanuatu Public Service Commission has congratulated 28 nurses from Solomon Islands who have taken up appointments in Vanuatu.

The nurses will be stationed at various clinics and hospitals around the country.

“We are looking forward for your invaluable contribution toward health services to the people of the Republic of Vanuatu,” the commission said while welcoming the nurses to Port Vila.

PSC is working with MOH to address the current issues affecting the Health Sector around the country and to strengthen the planning aspects as well for the future.

The Chairman of Public Service Commission, Martin Mahe is appealing to all Community leaders around Vanuatu in particular the Chiefs to welcome the nurses and provide them with the support necessary to ensure provision of quality health services to the citizens of Vanuatu.

Vanuatu had pledged support to Solomon Government through RAMSI operations to assist bring peace and prosperity to the citizens of Solomon Islands.

“We are proud that Solomon Island is now giving back the equal support by providing Health Services resources to support the Health Sector in Vanuatu. We are grateful for your acceptance to serve the People of the Republic of Vanuatu and we thank you.”

The nurses have taken up two-year appointments with Vanuatu PSC.
