VTO to launch new website

The Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) will soon be launching the destination’s brand new website www.vanuatu.travel.

The vision for the new consumer website, is to become a visually rich site that connects visitors to Vanuatu and provides connections and insights to the people, places and experiences that will create lasting memories when they travel, and encourage return visits.

The VTO is excited to have signed off in April, the website’s creative and design so the builders, BeDigital of Tourism Holding Group in Gold Coast Australia, can start deploying.

The website is aimed at being the most authoritative site for travel to Vanuatu, providing not just information on the destination, travel tips, and tourism operators but it will also project Vanuatu with an extra level of detail to assist all groups travelling to Vanuatu for holiday, business and investment opportunities, entertainment, weddings, sports, and more.

This will feature new contents and prime highlights such as the recently nominated for an Oscar Award “Tanna Movie”, regional South Pacific Games, as well as cruise tourism information plus schedule, an interactive map which will have domestic flights and ferry routes, information on yacht anchorage sites, and many more key details for all visitor groups who wish to travel to Vanuatu.

The new website will have a total of over 400 registered tourism operators, and the work that has been done to date, has kept both the VTO and BeDigital super busy.

“We are very excited for the new destination website which will greatly boost Vanuatu Tourism’s online presence and competitiveness with other destination websites, that will elevate Vanuatu to the next level in regards to a refreshed, vibrant, professional look and feel, and functionalities that work across the entire website,” said Adela Issachar Aru, General Manager of VTO.

The website manager of VTO Alcina Charley said, “The website’s key objectives are to create a positive user experience making it simple for site visitors to find and share information throughout their social media, increase the level of engagement and repeat visits, drive signups for newsletters, drive downloads and increase overall site traffic. I feel that this new website will deliver all of the above, especially after our small website team has done trainings with the web builders on how to manage, monitor and change the contents in the new website”.
