Digicel has joined efforts by sponsoring prizes for the lottery to support 192 athletes of the Shefa team participating at the National Games in Luganville later this month.
The games will be held from 25th November to 4th December 2016.
A fundraising was organised on Friday 4th November 2016 at Willie Jimmy’s recreational compound at Tebakor Area.
We encourage people in Port Vila to join Digicel and support the next fundraising on Friday 18th November 2016 from 10am onward.
The day will be full of activities with sport activities and competitions, food and kava on sale and a lottery.
“This partnership is important for our 192 athletes. The national Games in Luganville are the annual competition of the year. The Shefa athletes will represent the province in 8 sports and we will try our best to make Shefa people proud.” said David Chilia, the Chairman of Shefa Sports Team Task Force.
Yaser Maher, CEO of Digicel Vanuatu, added, “The aim is to encourage Vanuatu sports to become bigger and better and we want to encourage the community to share those important sporting events.
