Narawa out of World Cup as All Blacks make four changes

Anton Lienert-Brown replaced the injured Jordie Barrett at second five-eighth in the only backline change to the starting side for the Test against the tournament hosts in Paris on Saturday morning.

Barrett has been struggling with a knee problem and did not train this week so Lienert-Brown will play his second Test of the year alongside Rieko Ioane in midfield for the blockbuster clash at Stade de France.

Fijian-born Emoni Narawa books World Cup ticket

Narawa is one of the 33 players selected by coach Ian Foster to represent New Zealand.

Two time All Blacks winning World Cup captain Richie McCaw announced the names of the players in a special event in Napier.

Former Queen Victoria School student Narawa made his All Blacks debut last month against Argentina just days after his 24th birthday.

Narawa to debut for All Blacks with McKenzie at 10

Fiji born Narawa will earn his first cap a few days shy of his 24th birthday, with Caleb Clarke on the other wing.

Lock Josh Lord features for the first time since 2021.

The versatile McKenzie has been preferred to Richie Mo'unga in the number 10 jersey, though the latter is on the bench and may be being held back for the home game against South Africa in Auckland a week later.
