Hurricanes Super rugby

Canterbury loose forward Reed Prinsep signs with Hurricanes

The explosive 23-year-old will join the Hurricanes this November in preparation for the club's Super Rugby title defence in 2017.

Prinsep said he was looking forward to developing as a player and a person over the next two years.

"I'm excited about the opportunity to press ahead with my career with the Hurricanes and I can't wait to get up to Wellington and get started in what looks like a great environment," he said.

Barrett sticking with the Hurricanes

RNZ reports the 25-year-old was pivotal in winning the Hurricanes first Super Rugby title this season, as well as the three-Test series triumph against Wales and the recent Bledisloe Cup win over Australia.

Both All Blacks coach Steve Hansen and Hurricanes coach Chris Boyd have lauded Barrett's decision, both describing him as one of the best players in the world right now.
