Over 4,000 people receive first doses of Covid-19 vaccine in TORBA

 The province’s vaccine population target is 6,200 and a total of 4,300 eligible citizens have received their first doses

The vaccination team began rolling out the second doses of AstraZeneca since January 6.

Another vaccination team has been deployed recently to Motalava and is now administering second doses of AstraZeneca vaccine.

TORBA launched its COVID-19 vaccination rollout in November last year.

   

Vanuatu’s COVID-19 vaccination drive to move to Luganville

Health Promotion Officer, Casimir Liwuslili said they are still in the process of registering names of the vaccine recipients.

“Once the list has been finalized, it will be sent to the Department of Public Health in Port Vila to order more batches of vaccines.”

Liwuslili is appealing to the public to stop spreading misinformation on COVID-19 Vaccines, especially in rural communities.
