Digicel recently brought a little bit of Christmas cheer to the Children’s Ward at the Vila Central Hospital (VCH).
The Digicel team spread some holiday joy to the young patients and their families filled with Christmas presents last Thursday.
The staff at the hospital were incredibly grateful for the gifts, and the children were overjoyed to receive the presents. It was a great way to spread Christmas cheer and bring a little bit of joy to those in need.
Staff donated food to the hospital kitchen to help with the meals for the children.
There were assorted presents for each child from toys, puzzles, books, fidget gadgets and sweet treats to keep them entertained during their stay at the ward.
Digicel Vanuatu CEO, Yaser Maher, stated; “Each year Digicel visits the Ward delivering gifts and entertaining the children. We believe that not all are fortunate enough to be well and at home with their families this Christmas so Digicel makes it a point to spread the Christmas Joy where we can. I hope these gifts make a difference for the children and make their Christmas a little merrier.”
The visit to the Children’s Ward is an annual affair for the company and a major part of Digicel’s corporate social responsibility program which aims to bring joy to children in need.
