On the weekend of 17 & 18 March, Channel 9 in Australia will be broadcasting live from Vanuatu.

The popular “Weekend Today” weather segments will be shown live from Port Vila into over 1 million Australian homes over the weekend.

Local Vanuatu resident and Today Show weatherman, Steve Jacobs will have a weekend at home to showcase Vanuatu and the great experiences of the destination. His local knowledge and enthusiasm for Vanuatu can only be a benefit when it comes to showcasing Vanuatu.

The Today Show are in Vanuatu are part of our Vanuatu’s tourism marketing efforts lead by the Vanuatu Tourism Office and Air Vanuatu.  The program will be live from the Port Vila Seafront on Saturday 17 March, near the new Haos blong Handikraf (Handicraft Market house) and Nambawan Café.

“We are encouraging people to head down to the seafront from 7.00am-10.00am on Saturday morning”, said Ms Adela Issacher Aru, CEO of the Vanuatu Tourism Office.

“Our aim is to create a great holiday vibe at the waterfront, and we would love to see families out enjoying the seafront. You could be talking a walk, in the water, on your bike, having breakfast or just having a look at what is going on. We would also love to see some boats out of the water showing off some of our great aquatic activities.”

“We just want to have lots of activity and life” as we show off our beautiful harbour”, she said.   The show is also supported by the Tourism Market Development Fund and our great supports New Zealand Aid and Australian Aid.
